Walk & Ride for getting up Steep Hill

Walk and Ride (sometimes called the 'Steep Hill Shuttle' or the 'Castle Shuttle') gets you straight to the Cathedral quarter without having to negotiate Steep Hill. The Walk and Ride is operated by PC Coaches and runs throughout the day Monday to Saturday except on public holidays.

Children under 5 and concessionary bus pass holders ride for free. You must be aged 15 or younger to be eligible for the child tickets.

Timetable and Route

Walk and Ride begins at Stonebow on the High Street outside of The Works, a stationary and book store, and drops off at multiple tourist hpot spots including: The Cathedral, Newport Arch, The Lawn, and finally completing its journey direcly opposite the Tourist Information Centre at The Castle.

Alternatives for getting up Steep Hill, Lincoln

There are other local bus services that have bus stops near to the Cathedral, they are services 7, 8, 17 and 18.

Christmas

During the Lincoln Christmas Market, the Walk and Ride bus becomes the Christmas Market Shuttle Bus.
